Cercestis mirabilis

A true collector’s treasure, Cercestis mirabilis is a rare African aroid admired for its extraordinary leaf pattern and refined growth habit. Its elongated, arrow-shaped leaves feature striking silver-white veins that contrast beautifully against a deep green background, creating a dramatic, almost metallic appearance. The intricate venation and satin-like texture make this species a standout among rare foliage plants.

As a climbing aroid, Cercestis mirabilis appreciates a support to grow on—such as a moss pole or trellis—where it can display its full beauty as it matures. New leaves often emerge lighter and gradually deepen in color as they harden off. Though it looks exotic, this plant is surprisingly resilient when provided with bright, indirect light, high humidity, and an airy, well-draining substrate.
